Whipple Avenue and El Camino Real Traffic Signal Modifica- <br />tion Project <br />Estimated Cost: $53,000.00 <br />It is recommended that a dual left-turn lane be installed <br />southbound on El Camino Real to Whipple Avenue eastbound <br />and the free right-turn lanes removed. This will required <br />relocation of two signal standards, concrete removal and <br />roadway widening, accornrnodatedby the reduction in width <br />of the existing 10-foot sidewalk. <br /> <br />5. Whipple Avenue at Arguello Traffic Signal Modification Project <br />Estimated Cost: $31,000.00 <br />It is proposed that the existing traffic signal system at <br />the intersection of Whipple Avenue and Arguello Street be <br />modified to accept a railroad pre-emption system. Traffic <br />currently is backing across the railroad tracks, creating <br />significant hazards, due to a lack of pre-emption at this <br />location. <br /> <br />6. Roosevelt Avenue Reconstruction Project <br /> <br />Estimated Cost: $451,000.00 <br /> <br />It is proposed that Roosevelt Avenue, between El Camino <br /> <br />Real and Iris Street, be reconstructed. as the roadway is <br /> <br />experiencing significant failures. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
