EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br /> April 17, 1996 <br /> <br />Mr. Charles Rigg <br />1001 Marshall Street <br />Redwood City, CA 94063 <br /> <br />Re: Woodside Terrace Kiwanis Club Carnival <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Rigg, <br /> <br />The City Council on XXXXX, 1996, by resolution XXXXX has authorized me to <br />issue this letter permitting the Woodside Terrace Kiwanis Club, through Butler <br />Amusements, to conduct a Carnival in downtown Redwood City, subject to and <br />in accordance with the terms and conditions herein. <br /> <br />The permission herein granted is to the Woodside Kiwanis, (hereinafter for <br />convenience, called "Permittee"), through Butler Amusements by the City of <br />Redwood City (hereinafter called the "City"). This permit is subject to the <br />following terms and conditions: <br /> <br />1. Carnival. The Carnival shall be sponsored and conducted by Permittee. <br /> The sale of alcoholic beverages shall be prohibited. <br /> <br />2. Revocation. This permit may be revoked at any time without cause by the <br /> City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />3. Non-transferability. This permit is non-transferable. <br /> <br />4. Location. The City shall order the necessary temporary parking lot <br /> closures of the City owned municipal lot at Jefferson and Middlefield (refer <br /> to attached map) and provide barricades, but Permittee shall be <br /> responsible for placing the barricades. The areas as shown on the <br /> attached map shall be reserved for the Carnival. <br /> <br />5. Dates and Time. The Carnival shall be held from 1:00 P.M. on July 4, <br /> 1996, and end at 11 P.M. on July 7, 1996. Set up time will begin at 6:00 <br /> P.M. on Wednesday, July 3, 1996. The site will be cleared by 5:00 A.M. <br /> on July 8th, 1996. The Carnival shall not operate on July 4, 1996, until <br /> after 1:00 P.M. or the end of the 4th of July Parade, whichever is later. <br /> <br /> <br />
