<br />CG~ 'jg-c 7/22/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />8923- <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />JUL 2 7 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF <br />STREET MAINTENANCE MATERIALS (ASPHALT EMULSION) FOR <br />1981-82 FISCAL YEAR; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREE- <br />MENT THEREOF; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY <br />DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8872, adopted June 15, <br /> <br />1981, the City Clerk called for bids for the furnishing of street <br /> <br />maintenance materials (asphalt emulsion) for 1981-82 fiscal year; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and <br /> <br />filed with the City Clerk for the furnishing of said material; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Raisch Products, Mountain View, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said material, <br /> <br />and it is the intention of this Council to award said bid to <br /> <br />Raisch Products; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Raisch Products, in the amount of Sixty-five <br /> <br />Thousand Four Hundred Fifty-five and No/lOO Dollars ($65,455.00), <br /> <br />more or less, for the furnishing of street maintenance materials <br /> <br />(asphalt emulsion) for 1981-82 fiscal year in accordance with the <br /> <br />bidder's proposal, dated July 7, 1981, and in accordance with the <br /> <br />specifications therefore on file in the office of the City Clerk, <br /> <br />is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to <br /> <br />be the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said material. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an <br /> <br />agreement with Raisch Products for the furnishing of the above <br /> <br />rnentioned material in accordance with, and subject to, the terms <br /> <br />and conditions of the aforementioned specifications and in <br /> <br />accordance with the aforementioned bidder's proposal. <br /> <br />8923 <br />
