<br />SWC:djg-c 10/7/81 <br /> <br />8977 <br /> <br />OCT 12 1981 <br />ORIGINAl <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF FIRE <br />HOSE AND FIRE HOSE NOZZLES; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT THEREOF; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS THEREFOR; AND <br />AUTHORIZING ~ETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8946, adopted August 24, <br /> <br />1981, the City Clerk called for bids for the furnishing of fire hose <br /> <br />and fire hose nozzles to be used for municipal purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br /> <br />with the City Clerk for the furnishing of said equipment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, L.N. Curtis and Sons, Oakland, California is the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said equipment, <br /> <br />and it is the intention of this Council to award said bid to L.N. <br /> <br />Curtis and Sons; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of L.N. Curtis and Sons, in the total lump sum amount <br /> <br />of Thirteen Thousand Two Hundred Forty-three and 64/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($13,243.64) for the furnishing of Fire Hose and Fire Hose Nozzles, <br /> <br />in accordance with the bidder's proposal, and ln accordance with the <br /> <br />specifications therefor on file in the office of the City Clerk, is <br /> <br />hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said equipment. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement <br /> <br />with L.N. Curtis and Sons for the furnishing of the above mentioned <br /> <br />equipment in accordance with, and subject to, the terms and conditions <br /> <br />of the aforementioned specifications and in accordance with the <br /> <br />aforementioned bidder's proposal. <br /> <br />3. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City for the <br /> <br />abovementioned equipment, other than the bid mentioned in paragraph 1 <br /> <br />are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />8~? 7 <br />
