<br />.. <br /> <br />CGM:mf 10/21/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />8986 <br /> <br />OCT 2 6 1981 <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND <br />REDWOOD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT RELATING TO <br />HOOVER SCHOOL RECREATIONAL FACILITIES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Redwood City School District is the owner <br /> <br />of certain real property currently used for purposes of operating <br /> <br />an elementary school known as Hoover School; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Redwood City School District is desirous of <br /> <br />upgrading and maintaining recreational facilities at Hoover <br /> <br />School; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City requires additional park <br /> <br />and recreational facilities in the area of the Hoover School <br /> <br />site; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this City and the District desire to enter into <br /> <br />an agreement pursuant to statutory authorization for construction <br /> <br />and maintenance of certain community recreation facilities which <br /> <br />lS in the public interest, convenience and necessity; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City and the Redwood City School District in the form of "Exhibit A," <br /> <br />attached hereto, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is <br /> <br />hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement, with <br /> <br />attestation by the City Clerk, for and on behalf of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />8986 <br />
