<br />SWC:djg-c 10/8/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />NQ.~ <br /> <br />OR\G\~~\.. <br />NOV 2 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING HOUSING ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL <br />PLAN OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Stats. 1980, C.1143, the State Legislature <br /> <br />has mandated that each city and county must revise the Housing <br /> <br />Element of its General Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the aforementioned statutes and in <br /> <br />conformance with the procedures set forth in Article Xl (commencing <br /> <br />with Section 18.60) of Chapter 18 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City, the Planning Commission reviewed proposed amendments to the <br /> <br />Housing Element of the General Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, following public hearing on July 7, 1981, the Planning <br /> <br />Commission recommended that this Council amend the Housing Element <br /> <br />by adoption of the document currently designated as "Draft Housing <br /> <br />Element - June 9, 1981"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the abovementioned state legislation, the <br /> <br />Planning Director has submitted the recommended amendments to the <br /> <br />Department of Housing and Community Development for their comments <br /> <br />and findings; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Community Development <br /> <br />has not responded to such submittal within the required 90 days; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after duly noticed public hearing, this Council desires <br /> <br />to approve the recommendation of the Planning Commission and amend the <br /> <br />Housing Element of the General Plan by adoption of the aforesaid <br /> <br />June 9, 1981 draft; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />This Council, after public hearing duly set, noticed and held, <br /> <br />does hereby amend the Housing Element of the General Plan of the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City by adopting the contents of that document currently <br /> <br />designated as "Draft Housing Element - June 9, 1981. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />8994 <br />
