<br />CGM:mf 4/7/82 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />~ Q. 9 1 0 3 <br /> <br />OH1GINAl <br />APR 2 6 1982 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING MARGUERITE <br />LEIPZIG FOR HER OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO THE CITIZENS <br />OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Councilman Marguerite Leipzig will be concluding <br /> <br />her tenure as a member of the City Council of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />city on April/9, 1982 after having ably and faithfully served the <br /> <br />citizens of the City of Redwood City for a period of ten years; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Councilman Leipzig, who served as Mayor of the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City during 1976-1978, has been an important force in <br /> <br />shaping public policy for the City of Redwood City during the period <br /> <br />of service as a member of the City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Councilman Leipzig, although actively involved in <br /> <br />business, has found the time to serve as Chairman of the Mosquito <br /> <br />Abatement District for the County of San Mateo and to serve as a <br /> <br />member of the governing boards of several regional agencies including <br /> <br />the South Bayside System Authority and the Bay Area Air Pollution <br /> <br />Control District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Marguerite has been a cohesive force and a steadying <br /> <br />influence as a member of the City Council, has seen this City through <br /> <br />some difficult times, and is respected by the City Council for her <br /> <br />integrity and ability which she demonstrated many times during this <br /> <br />period of public service; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Marguerite's presence as a member of this Council <br /> <br />will be missed not only because of these traits but also because <br /> <br />of her wit and humor - factors which have made the periods of service <br /> <br />of other members of the City Council more enjoyable; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />This Council does hereby commend and congratulate Councilman <br /> <br />Matguerite Leipzig for her years of service to the citizens of <br /> <br />Redwood City and wishes to acknowledge that her contributions have <br /> <br />made this a better community. <br /> <br />Q -r! ,{, ,~ <br />!
