AL ,) 1 \ l:..:l RES 0 L UTI 0 N !iQ..9..l:l2 M~'{ 2 <1 1982 RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 9120 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR PURCHASE OF TWELVE COMPACT PICKUP TRUCKS; AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF REVISED SPECIFICATIONS FOR SAID PICKUP TRUCKS, AND AUTHORIZING READVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS THEREFOR WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 9120, adopted May 17, 1982 this Council authorized the City Manager to execute a contract for the purchase of twelve compact pickup trucks to Ellis Brooks Chev- rolet in accordance with the bid of said company; and WHEREAS, the contract for the purchase of said trucks has not yet been executed by the parties; and WHEREAS, upon further review of the bid proposals received, and in view of certain ambiguities or irregularities in the bid docu- ments, this Council concludes that it is in the public interest to reject all bids, and to readvertise for bids pursuant to revised specifications; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. Resolution No. 9120 adopted May 17, 1982 entitled," Reso- lution Awarding Contract for Furnishing of Twelve Compact Pickup Trucks; and Authorizing Execution of Agreement Therefor" is hereby rescinded. 2. All bids received for the furnishing of twelve compact pickup trucks pursuant to the call for bids therefor authorized by Resolution No. 9068, adopted March 15, 1982 are hereby rejected. 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to prepare, or cause the preparation of, revised specifications for the purchase of twelve compact pickup trucks and upon approval 9 ., q ,'-''t ! ~? 1, / -'- ;J ''''';
