FERENCE AS ACTING TREASURER OF <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.12 of the <br /> <br />Code of the City of Redwood City the positions of City <br /> <br />Treasurer, City Collector, City Assessor and City Auditor are <br /> <br />consolidated and the person holding the position designated <br /> <br />Director of Finance exercises and performs all powers, <br /> <br />functions and duties of said consolidated offices; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, upon the retirement of Jack P. Ference as <br /> <br />Director of Finance, it is necessary to provide for the <br /> <br />performance of the aforesaid powers, functions and duties until <br /> <br />such time as a successor Director of Finance is appointed; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Rahn Becker is hereby appointed acting Director of <br /> <br />Finance of the City of Redwood City to exercise and perform all <br /> <br />powers, functions and duties of the consolidated offices of <br /> <br />Collector, Assessor and Auditor of the City of Redwood City and <br /> <br />such other duties (except those of City Treasurer) of the <br /> <br />position of Director of Finance of the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />from and after July 12, 1982 until such time as a successor <br /> <br />Director of Finance shall have been appointed. <br /> <br />2. Jack P. Ference, former Director of Finance of the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City is hereby appointed acting Treasurer of <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City to exercise and perform all powers, <br /> <br />functions and duties of the office of Treasurer from and after <br /> <br />July 12, 1982 until such time as a successor Director of <br /> <br />Finance shall have been appointed. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />9 1 5 rl <br />
