<br />SWC:djg-c 7/7/82 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />9168 <br />N o. <br /> <br />OR1GiNAL <br />JUL 2 6 1982 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH TARGET EDUCATION AND WELFARE COUNCIL, <br />INC. FOR HANDI-PERSON PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc. <br /> <br />(TEWCI), which is presently engaged in the operation of Senior <br /> <br />Citizen Center Programs at the Fair Oaks Senior Citizen Center, <br /> <br />desires to conduct a Handi-Person Program that will provide <br /> <br />minor home repairs to selected residences in the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, TEWCI has requested financial assistance in order <br /> <br />to conduct such a program for residents of the City who comply <br /> <br />with income level requirements, during the fiscal year com- <br /> <br />mencing July 1, 1982, and ending June 30, 1983; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said <br /> <br />request and desires to allocate to TEWCI the sum of Thirty- <br /> <br />four Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-eight and No/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($34,978.00) from its Community Development Block Grant funds, <br /> <br />in addition to any unexpended balance from the allocation by <br /> <br />the City to TEWCI made during the fiscal year of July 1, 1981, <br /> <br />to June 30, 1982; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council for <br /> <br />approval an agreement between the City of Redwood City and <br /> <br />TEWCI, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />approve the same; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />9168 <br />
