<br />2/82 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9183 <br /> <br />ORIGI N,4L <br />AUG 9 1982 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH SEQUOIA YMCA (YOUTH & FM1ILY SERVICES & <br />FAIR OAKS OUTREACH) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sequoia Y.M.C.A. (Youth & Family Services and <br /> <br />Fair Oaks Outreach) has been established for the principal <br /> <br />purpose of diverting youths from the Juvenile Justice system <br /> <br />and to provide a delinquency prevention capability for families <br /> <br />and agencies; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sequoia Y.M.C.A. (Youth & Family Services and <br /> <br />Fair Oaks Outreach) has requested financial assistance for use <br /> <br />by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year <br /> <br />commencing July 1, 1982 and ending June 30, 1983; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br /> <br />and desires to pay to Sequoia Y.M.C.A. (Youth & Family Services <br /> <br />and Fair Oaks Outreach) the sum of Twenty Three Thousand Twenty- <br /> <br />Nine and No/lOODollars ($23,029,00); and <br /> <br />vlliEREAS, there has been presented to this Council for ap- <br /> <br />proval an agreement between the City of Redwood City and Sequoia <br /> <br />Y.M.C.A. (Youth & Family Services and Fair Oaks Outreach), and <br /> <br />it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve the <br /> <br />same, <br /> <br />Nmv THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLmvS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement (form dated 8/2/82), by and between <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City and Sequoia Y.M.C.A. (Youth & Family <br /> <br />Services and Fair Oaks Outreach), a copy of which agreement is <br /> <br />on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference <br /> <br />is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, <br /> <br />and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />918a <br />
