<br />SWC:mf 8/20/82 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />9198 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR TREE REMOVAL AND TREE <br />PRUNING, 1982-83; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK <br /> <br />AUG 23 1982 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 9165, adopted July 26, <br /> <br />1982, the City Clerk called for bids for Tree Removal and Tree <br /> <br />Pruning 1982-83; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, James R. Cox, dba J. Cox Tree & Landscape Service, <br /> <br />Redwood City, California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it <br /> <br />is the intention and desire of this Council to award said bid <br /> <br />to said James R. Cox; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of James R. Cox, dba J. Cox Tree and Landscape <br /> <br />Service in the sum of Forty-one and No/IOO Dollars ($41. 00) per <br /> <br />hour for a total not to exceed Fifty Thousand and No/IOO Dollars <br /> <br />($50,000.00), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal <br /> <br />dated August 9, 1982, for Tree Removal and Tree Pruning 1982-83, <br /> <br />is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared <br /> <br />to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />that certain agreement entitled "Agreement," by and between <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City and James R. Cox, dba J. Cox Tree & <br /> <br />Landscape Service, for the performance of said work in accordance <br /> <br />with the abovementioned bid proposal, a copy of which agreement <br /> <br />is presently on file in the office of the City Clerk to which <br /> <br />reference is hereby made for full particulars concerning the <br /> <br />9 '1.'. 0 ;..J,') <br />_ JU <br />
