<br />CGM:mf 10/20/82 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9253 <br /> <br />ORiGINAL <br />OCT 2 5 1982 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING APPROVAL OF APPLICATION <br />TO CONSTRUCT CHESAPEAKE DRIVE AT GRADE ACROSS <br />THE RAILROAD TRACKS OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC <br />RAILROAD COMPANY IN THE VICINITY OF SEAPORT <br />BOULEVARD IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Railroad Company has railroad <br /> <br />tracks in the vicinity of Blomquist Street and Seaport Boulevard <br /> <br />in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City desires to construct a <br /> <br />street, Chesapeake Drive, at grade across the railroad tracks <br /> <br />of Southern Pacific Railroad Company in the aforementioned area <br /> <br />of the City, which is shown on Exhibit "A"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Code requires that all proposed <br /> <br />public roads, highways, and streets to be constructed across the <br /> <br />track of any railroad corporation at grade receive the prior <br /> <br />approval of the Public Utilities Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council an application <br /> <br />to construct Chesapeake Drive at grade across the railroad tracks <br /> <br />of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company in the vicinity of <br /> <br />Blomquist Street and Seaport Boulevard in the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />authorize an application requesting approval of the above grade <br /> <br />crossing be submitted to the Public utilities Commission; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That an application requesting the approval to construct <br /> <br />9253 <br />
