<br />SWC:djg-c 11/3/82 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the reason for the proposed reorganization, as set <br /> <br /> <br />forth in the proposal thereof submitted to LAFCO, is to facilitate <br /> <br /> <br />coordinated industrial/commercial development of a single site, <br /> <br />part of which is already within the corporate limits of Redwood <br /> <br /> <br />City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />1. This Council hereby finds that, with respect to the <br /> <br /> <br />proposed reorganization of the territory described in "Exhibit <br /> <br />A" hereof under the distinctive short form designation of <br /> <br /> <br />"Proposed Reorganization of the Lands of Redwood Food Packing <br /> <br />Corporation including but not limited to Detachment from CSA #8 <br /> <br /> <br />and Annexation to the City of Redwood City" no written protests <br /> <br />have been filed. <br /> <br /> <br />2. Pursuant to the provisions of Government Code Section <br /> <br />56322 this Council hereby approves said reorganization and orders <br /> <br />the territory described in Exhibit A annexed to the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City. All land and improvements within said territory <br /> <br /> <br />shall be liable for the generalindebtedness of the City existing <br /> <br /> <br />at the time of annexation. <br /> <br />3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br /> <br />transmit a certified copy of this resolution to the executive <br /> <br /> <br />officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County <br /> <br />of San Mateo. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />2 <br />
