LXlil131 T "A" 1968 Election MEASURES SUBMITTED TO VOTE OF VOTERS Shall Redwood City General Improvement District No. 1-6~ incur a general obli~ation bonded indebtedness in the principal amount of $23,508,000 for the acqui- sition, construction, improvement, maintenance and operation of the following district project, to wit: Reclamation and Drainage Project com- prising (a) preparation works, including cleaning out of depressions and slo~Rhs in areas to be filled and disposition of unsuitable materials; excavation of ponding basins and waterways; excava- tion, grading, preparation and leveling with on-site material of surface of areas to be filled; and excavation of existing waterways and use of excavated material as fill in specified areas or disposition of same if unsuitable; (b) levee works, inc1udin~ construction, reconstruction, or removal of levees; construction of levee facin~ or levee protection works; construction of jetties or dams for harbors or for controlled level water- ways; (c) fill and ~rading works, inc1udin~ exca- vation, transportation, placing, gradin~ and com-, , pacting of fill; and placin~ and removal of imported fill surcharges where needed; (d) drain- age system works, including construction of storm draina~e collection systems, canals and appurten- ant facilities, treatment of slopes and instal- lation of drainage structures to protect adjacent lands; (e) pump and dischar~e works, includin~ construction of drainage pumping and dischar~e facilities;-(f) control system works, includin~ construction of drainage control structures , tide". .' - gates and, appurtenances; installation or construc- tion of water level control structures and appur- tenances; and~construction or installation of con- trol systems_to coordinate pumping'stations and control structures; (g) lands,:rights-of-way and easements for-any or all of s~id~orks; and (h) other works, property or structures necessary or - convenient cfor said project?".
