<br />SWC:djg-c 5/31/83 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9361 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />JUN " 6 1983 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL ASSISTANCE <br />(COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT) AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION AND FILING OF ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING THERETO <br />(FISCAL YEAR 1983-84) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant Program <br /> <br />authorized pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Community <br /> <br />Development Act of 1974, as enacted by the Congress of the United <br /> <br />States (Pub. Law 93-383), provides for the issuance of grants in <br /> <br />order to attain the objective of the development of viable urban <br /> <br />communities, by providing decent housing and a suitable living <br /> <br />environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for <br /> <br />persons of low or moderate income; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to, and reviewed by this <br /> <br />Council, an application to the United States Department of Housing <br /> <br />and Urban Development for a Community Development Block Grant in <br /> <br />the amount of Five Hundred Seventy-four Thousand Three Hundred <br /> <br />Seventy-one and No/lOa Dollars ($574,371.00) for the period of July <br /> <br />1, 1983, through June 30, 1984; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been prepared by the Planning Director a <br /> <br />Notice of Determination, determining that the proposed Community <br /> <br />Development Block Grant Program, as set forth in the aforesaid <br /> <br />application, is exempt from the requirements of NEPA and CEQA as a <br /> <br />ministerial project and does not have a significant effect on the <br /> <br />environment, and a notice of such determination filed with the <br /> <br />9361 <br />
