<br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day <br /> <br />of 1983, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br /> <br />a municipal corporation of the State of California (hereinafter referred to <br /> <br />as "City"), and the Peninsula Celebration Association (hereafter referred <br /> <br />to as "PCA"); <br /> <br />WIT N E SSE T H: <br />WHEREAS, PCA has requested City to contribute monies during the <br />fiscal year July 1, 1983 :... June 30, 1984, for community promotion through <br />the sponsorship of special activities within Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, City has determined that community promotion is vital <br />to the present and future well-being of all segments of the public of the <br />City of Redwood City, and is in the public interest and would result in public <br />benefit to the whole of the community; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREB Y AGREED AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. City Obligation. City shall pay PCA Two Thousand and No/100 <br />Dollars ($2000.00) during the period July 1, 1983 - June 30, 1984. Payment <br />to PCA shall be made in a manner satisfactory to, and .approved by, City's <br />Finance Director. <br />2. PCA Obligation. PCA shall expend all monies received from <br />City pursuant to paragraph (1) for the sole and exclusive purpose of <br />community promotion. PCA shall achieve the above purpose through <br />sponsorship of the (a) Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks, and (b) <br />Miss Redwood City Pageant. <br />3. Accountability. Within 60 days after the expiration of the <br />term hereof, PCA shall provide City with a detailed report on the purposes <br />for which the funds paid hereunder were expended, which report shall be <br />subject to the review and approval of City's Finance Director, who shall <br />
