<br />CGM:djg-c 9/6/83 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9436 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />SEP 1 2 1983 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT (1981-82), IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; REJECTING <br />ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 9398, adopted July <br /> <br />25, 1983, the City Clerk called for bids for Water Main <br /> <br />Improvement Project (1981-82), in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, West Valley Construction Company, Inc., Campbell, <br /> <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br /> <br />intention and desire of this Council to award said bid to said <br /> <br />West Valley Construction Company,Inc.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of West Valley Construction Company, Inc. in the <br /> <br />sum of Four Hundred Six Thousand Two Hundred Eighty-six and <br /> <br />No/100 Dollars ($406,286.00) computed in accordance with bidder's <br /> <br />proposal dated August 23, 1983, for the Water Main Improvement <br /> <br />Project (1981-82) is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby <br /> <br />found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for <br /> <br />said work. <br /> <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />9 4 ~3 6 <br />
