<br />SWC:rb 9/16/83 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9438 <br /> <br />OR!GINAL <br />SEP 1 9 1983 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONDEMNING BUILDINGS AT 530B CEDAR STREET <br />(BASEMENT UNIT) AND 530C CEDAR STREET (WATER TOWER <br />AND GARAGE UNIT) AS PUBLIC NUISANCES AND DIRECTING <br />RECONSTRUCTION OR REMOVAL THEREOF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Department of this City has determined <br /> <br />that the buildings which are located at 530B and C Cedar Street <br /> <br />are a public nuisance as defined by Section 9.6 of the Redwood <br /> <br />City Code because of serious and numerous violations of the Fire <br /> <br />Code, Uniform Building code, Uniform Housing Code, Uniform <br /> <br />Plumbing Code, and the Electrical Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building department has given notice as <br /> <br />evidenced by attached "Exhibit A" to the owner of the buildings <br /> <br />at 530B and C Cedar Street to appear before this City Council to <br /> <br />show cause, if any he have, why such buildings should not be <br /> <br />declared to be a public nuisance and abated in accordance with <br /> <br />the provisions of Chapter 9 of the Redwood City Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this council has received extensive evidence that <br /> <br />many violations of the Fire Code, Uniform Building Code, Uniform <br /> <br />Housing Code, Uniform Plumbing Code, and the Electrical Code <br /> <br />exist in the buildings at 530B and C Cedar Street in the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The buildings at 530B and C Cedar Street are hereby <br /> <br />determined to be a public nuisance because such buildings <br /> <br />9438 <br />
