DES:dj~ 04/29/96 (104/41) <br /> <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 5/13/96 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12752 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 1995-1996 SEWER MAIN <br /> REPLACEMENT PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br /> FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY <br /> DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12710, adopted March 11, <br />1996, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the 1995-1996 <br />Sewer Main Replacement Project, Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, six bids were <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Andes Construction, Inc. of Oakland, California, is <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to accept said bid of Andes Construction, Inc.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Andes Construction, Inc., in the amount of <br />Nine Hundred Forty-five Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy and No/100 <br />Dollars ($945,870.00), computed in accordance with said bidder's <br />proposal dated April 10, 1996, for the 1995-1996 Sewer Main <br />Replacement Project, is hereby accepted, and said bidder is <br />hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for <br />said work. <br /> <br /> 2.
