<br />sr. -:rb 11/16/83 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9479 <br /> <br />. <br />NOV 21 1983 <br /> <br />07'\'n.''''AL <br />i\,u!(\ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN ~~TEO PROVIDING FOR COUNTY-WIDE <br />CIVIL DEFENSE AND DISASTER COORDINATION; AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION THEREOF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that the County of <br /> <br />San Mateo and the various municipal corporations within said <br /> <br />County join in a program and system of civil defense and <br /> <br />emergency services, with the purpose of coordinating and <br /> <br />providing for the efficient and orderly utilization and <br /> <br />interchange of services and facilities of said County and cities <br /> <br />within said County in time of civil defense and disaster, in <br /> <br />order that in such time of civil defense and disaster, said <br /> <br />services and facilities might be utilized for the maximum <br /> <br />protection and relief of the greatest possible number of citizens <br /> <br />of said County and cities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to and reviewed by this <br /> <br />Council an agreement by and between the County of San Mateo and <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City providing for County-wide civil defense <br /> <br />and disaster coordination which agreement supersedes the existing <br /> <br />similar agreement and amendments thereto; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />9479 <br />
