<br />SWC:rb 11/28/83 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9501 <br /> <br />JAN 9 1984 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT WITH <br />COUNTY OF SAN MATEO FOR COLLECTION OF SPECIAL <br />ASSESSMENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Government Code Sections 51540 et seq. provide that <br /> <br />a charter city may transfer certain tax collection functions to <br /> <br />the county, with charter apprqval, and after adoption of an <br /> <br />implementing ordinance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 53.5 of the Charter of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City, approves such a transfer, and Ordinance No. 1118, adopted <br /> <br />January 3, 1964, as amended (Redwood City Code Sections 32.20 et <br /> <br />seq.) implements such approval; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Government Code Section 51561, <br /> <br />and with Section 8 of the aforesaid ordinance, the County and <br /> <br />City must enter into an agreement for said transfer; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council an agree- <br /> <br />ment between the City and the County of San Mateo whereby the <br /> <br />County will perform certain collection functions for the City; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intent of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and to authorize its execution; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />9501 <br />
