<br />SWC:rks 2/24/84 <br />SWC:djg-c 3/8/84R <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />MAR 1 2 1984 <br /> <br />9538 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE PORTION OF PUBLIC STREETS <br />(UPLAND ROAD AND WHIPPLE AVENUE) IN ACCORDANCE WITH PART 3 OF <br />DIVISION 9, STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA; <br />SETTING TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN OR <br />OBJECTING TO THE PROPOSED VACATION; AND ORDERING POSTING OF <br />NOTICE OF SUCH PROPOSED VACATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a portion of two public streets (Upland Road and <br /> <br />Whipple Avenue) in the City of Redwood City, heretofore dedicated <br /> <br />as public streets, are not needed for present or prospective <br /> <br />street purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City intends to <br /> <br />vacate said portions of Upland Road and Whipple Avenue pursuant <br /> <br />to the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9 (commencing with <br /> <br />Section 8300) of the Streets and Highways Code; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate <br /> <br />a portion of Upland Road and Whipple Avenue as hereinafter <br /> <br />described, and elects to proceed with such vacation pursuant to <br /> <br />the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9 (commencing with Section <br /> <br />8300) of the Streets and Highways Code. <br /> <br />2. The portions of Upland Road and Whipple Avenue to be <br /> <br />vacated are as indicated on the plat marked "Exhibit A", attached <br /> <br />hereto and incorporated herein by reference, entitled "Plat <br /> <br />Showing Proposed Abandonment of Portion Upland Road and Whipple <br /> <br />9538 <br />
