<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />9SR2 <br /> <br />OR\G\NAl <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN DESCRIBED CITY-OWNED <br />PROPERTY SURPLUS; AND AUTHORIZING SALE THEREOF <br /> <br />MAY 14 1984 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is the owner of one 1800 series <br />cabover 1975 International Oil Distributor Tanker Truck; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received evidence that such property <br />is not needed for present or prospective municipal or public purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to declare <br />said property surplus and authorize its sale in accordance with <br />Section 3-1/2 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That this Council hereby finds that one 1800 series cabover <br />1975 International Oil Distributor Tanker Truck is not now needed for <br />any municipal or public purposes and will not be needed for any municipal <br />or public purposes in the future, and hereby declares said property to <br />be surplus property. <br />2. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br />advertise such surplus property for sale to the general public in <br />accordance with Section 3-1/2 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City. <br />Said sale shall be conducted in accordance with the bid documents and the <br />following terms: <br />(a) Sealed bids, upon notice called therefore, shall be <br />received for said property until the date and time fixed by the <br />City Clerk and sent out in the notice of sale, and, at the time <br />and dated fixed, City Manager shall open the bids received pursuant <br />to advertisement therefor, and determine the highest bid received <br />for said property; <br />(b) No sealed bid submitted may be withdrawn pending award <br />or rejection of the bids. The City reserves the right to reject <br />all bids and to award as a lump sum or on an individual item by <br />item basis. In no event will the City accept less than 90 percent <br />of the appraised value of the property, which has been determined <br />to be 13,500.00. <br />3.
