<br />SWC:djg-c 6/15/84 <br /> <br />ORiGIN/~C <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9603 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />WITH COUNTY OF SAN ~~TEO (AREA AGENCY ON AGING) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, <br /> <br />California has designated itself the Area Agency on Aging and has <br /> <br />undertaken the administration of a program to foster the develop- <br /> <br />ment of comprehensive and coordinated service systems to serve <br /> <br />older persons pursuant to the Older Americans Act of 1964, as <br /> <br />amended, Pub. L. 89-73; 42 U.S.C. Section 3001 et seq., and all <br /> <br />amendments, rules and regulations pertaining thereto (hereinafter, <br /> <br />collectively referred to as the "Act"); <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that said Area Agency <br /> <br />contract pursuant to said Act for the purpose of procuring those <br /> <br />projects known as Senior Center and Nutrition (hereinafter <br /> <br />collectively referred to as"project"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council an agreement <br /> <br />with the County of San Mateo to fund Senior Services within the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intent of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and to authorize its execution in accordance with the <br /> <br />terms and conditions thereof; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />9603 <br />
