<br />RES J L UTI 0 N N o. 9 6~ 5 <br /> <br />ORIGI NAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE TARGET EDUCATION AND WELFARE <br />COUNCIL, INC. <br /> <br />JUL 2 3 1984 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc., a <br />California non-profit corporation, has been established for the <br /> <br />principal purpose of improving neighborhood and community education <br /> <br />and promoting economic opportunities of benefit to and in furtherance <br /> <br />of the public order, health and welfare in the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City has found and <br /> <br />determined that the Neighborhood Boards Program so operated and conduc- <br />ted by said corporation is of general value to the residents of the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City, and will result in public benefit to the whole community; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City proposes to contribute to the Target Education <br /> <br />and Welfare Council, Inc., the sum of Twenty Thousand and No/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($20,000.00) during the fiscal year July 1, 1984, through June 30, 1985; <br />NOH THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement (form dated 7/11/84), by and between the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City and the Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc., <br />a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to <br /> <br />which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is <br /> <br />hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed <br /> <br />to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />v 655 <br />
