<br />DCB:sh 7/26/84 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. ~ 4 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />AUG 6 1984 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT NO. 8 UNDER MASTER AGREEMENT FOR <br />LOCAL AGENCY FEDERAL-AID FOR URBAN SYSTEM PROJECTS FOR <br />TRAFFIC SIGNAL MODIFICATION AT EL CAMINO REAL AND <br />WHIPPLE AVENUE INTERSECTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City entered into a Master <br /> <br />Agreement for Federal-Aid Program on November 3, 1977 <br />pursuant to the Federal-Aid For Urban System Projects with <br /> <br />the State of California; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council seeks in accordance with Paragraph <br /> <br />2 of Article II of the aforementioned agreement funding for <br /> <br />traffic signal modifications to adjust computer-controlled <br /> <br />turn signals at the intersection of EI Camino Real and <br /> <br />Whipple Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council seeks to provide the necessary <br /> <br />traffic safety for the EI Camino Real and Whipple Avenue <br /> <br />intersection; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Execution of Program Supplement No. 8 under Master <br /> <br />Agreement 04-5029 is hereby authorized in order to secure <br /> <br />the necessary funds for traffic signal modification at the <br /> <br />intersection of EI Camino Real and Whipple Avenue. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed <br /> <br />to take all necessary or appropriate action to execute <br /> <br />9664 <br />
