<br />DCB:rb <br />JCB: rb <br />DCB:rb <br /> <br />8/24/84 <br />8/24/84R <br />8/27/84R <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9676 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />AUG 2 7 1984 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR SLURRY SEAL PROJECT, 1984 - <br />85; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 9658 adopted August 6, <br /> <br />1984, the City Clerk called for bids for Slurry Seal Project <br /> <br />1984-85; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Graham Contractors, Inc., San Jose, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award bid to said Graham Contractors, Inc.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOVJS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Graham Contractors, Inc. in the sum not to <br /> <br />exceed One Hundred Sixty-four Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy-Four <br /> <br />and 32/100 Dollars ($164,774.32), computed in accordance with <br /> <br />bidder's proposal dated August 23, 1984, for Slurry Seal Project <br /> <br />1984-85, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and <br /> <br />declared to be the lowest bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br /> <br />certain agreement entitled "Agreement," by and between the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City and Graham Contractors, Inc., for the performance <br /> <br />of said work in accordance with the abovementioned bid proposal, <br /> <br />a copy of which agreement is presently on file in the office of <br /> <br />9676 <br />
