<br />DCB:sh 9/20/84 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9708 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />OCT 1 1984 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR EXPANSION OF DISK <br />DRIVE CAPACITY; DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE TO PURCHASE <br />COMPUTER UPGRADE COMPONENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minute Order 84-119, adopted June 25, <br /> <br />1984, the City Clerk called for bids for the Expansion of <br /> <br />Computer Disk Drive Capacity; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br /> <br />wi th the City Clerk for the furnishing of said expansion of <br /> <br />computer capacity; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the attached bids received would be inappropriate <br /> <br />for existing computer hardware system contract and it would be <br /> <br />advantageous for the City to redesign the disk drive component <br /> <br />request for potential cost savings and increased hardware <br /> <br />protection; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Any and all bids requested pursuant to Minute Order <br /> <br />84-119, adopted June 25, 1984, are rejected due to existing <br /> <br />computer hardware system contract, increased cost savings by the <br /> <br />City by redesigning the disk drive component, and increased <br /> <br />hardware protection. <br /> <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />return to all unsuccessful bidders all security guaranteeing <br /> <br />execution of the contract upon award. <br /> <br />9708 <br />
