<br />SWC : s h <br />SWC:sh <br /> <br />4/30/85 <br />5/06/85R <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after due notice and public hearing, this Council <br /> <br />finds that adoption of the Westport Park Specific Plan is in the <br /> <br />public interest and consistent with the General Plan; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. This Council hereby finds, declares, and concludes as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />(a) A tentative parcel map for the Westport Park <br /> <br />property was approved by the Subdivision Committee on <br /> <br />February 16, 1984 with the condition, "...that the Developer <br /> <br />shall enter into an agreement with the City of Redwood City, <br /> <br />prior to recordation of the parcel map, which would prohibit <br /> <br />the construction of any building prior to the adoption of a <br /> <br />specific plan for the entire site..." <br /> <br />(b) The proposed Specific Plan, as prepared by the <br />Planning Department, was approved by the Planning Commission <br /> <br />after public hearing duly noticed, and forwarded by said <br /> <br />Commission to this Council with the recommendation that the <br /> <br />Specific Plan be adopted, along with a statement of the <br /> <br />Planning Commission's reasons for such recommendation. <br /> <br />(c) This Council held a duly noticed public hearing on <br /> <br />the proposed Specific Plan on May 6, 1985, at which hearing <br /> <br />all persons interested in the matter were heard or afforded <br /> <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. <br /> <br />(d) This Council has reviewed and considered the <br /> <br />information contained in the aforesaid EIR and supplemental <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />9872 <br />
