<br />DAS:sh 7/18/86 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />!:! 2.1 0 2 79 <br /> <br />AUG 4 1986 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO THE DESIGNATION OF PORTIONS OF <br />MIDDLEFIELD ROAD AND FLYNN AVENUE WITHIN THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AS COUNTY HIGHWAYS; AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO <br />RELATING TO FUNDING RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE <br />CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF STORM DRAINAGE PROJECT <br />IN MIDDLEFIELD ROAD AND FLYNN AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is authorized pursuant to <br /> <br />Sections 1800 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code to lay <br /> <br />out, acquire and construct any section or portion of any street <br /> <br />or highway within the territorial jurisdiction of the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo <br /> <br />have, pursuant to Sections 1700 et seq. of the Streets and <br /> <br />Highways Code, declared, (subject to the consent of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City), that Middlefield Road between Charter Street and <br /> <br />Douglas <br /> <br />Avenue <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />Flynn <br /> <br />Avenue <br /> <br />from <br /> <br />Middlefield <br /> <br />Road <br /> <br />northeasterly for fifty (50) feet, situate within the territory <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City, (as more particularly described in <br /> <br />Exhibit II A" attached hereto, and by this reference incorporated <br /> <br />herein as if set out in full herein), to be county highways of <br /> <br />the County of San Mateo for the purposes of constructing storm <br /> <br />drainage improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that those portions <br /> <br />of Middlefield Road and Flynn Avenue described in Exhibit "A", be <br /> <br />declared and established as county highways of the County of San <br /> <br />Mateo <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />purposes <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />constructing <br /> <br />storm <br /> <br />drainage <br /> <br />improvements; and <br /> <br />10279 <br />
