L <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />1 0450 <br /> <br />MAR 9 1987 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF COMPUTER UPGRADE <br />SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.76 of the Code <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City this Council has, on motion duly made <br /> <br />on the affirmative vote of at least five (5) members of said <br /> <br />Council, suspended the requirements of Article VII of Chapter 2 <br /> <br />of said Code relating to the purchase of materials, equipment and <br /> <br />supplies with regard to the purchase hereinafter authorized. <br /> <br />2. This Council does hereby authorize and direct the City <br /> <br />Manager to purchase an upgrade to the City's existing computer <br /> <br />system from Prime Computer Systems at a cost not to exceed <br /> <br />$100,000.00 plus tax. <br /> <br />This authorization is subject to the <br /> <br />conditions that the upgrade can be ordered and installed prior to <br /> <br />payment, and that payment for such upgrade shall not be due until <br /> <br />July, 1987, at no additional interest. <br /> <br />3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute all documents required in connection with the purchase <br /> <br />authorized herein for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />provided, however, all such documents have first been approved as <br /> <br />to form by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />10450 <br />
