<br />DAS:sn 3/11/87 (#19) <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />10461 <br />N o. <br /> <br />MAR 1 6 1987 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH COUNTY OF SAN MATEO RELATING TO PRISONER <br />TRANSPORT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City's Police Department occasionally requires <br /> <br />the transportation of prisoners from other locations within the <br /> <br />State to Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles and the County of San <br /> <br />Mateo have entered into an agreement whereby the Los Angeles <br /> <br />County Sheriff's Department will transport prisoners being held <br /> <br />by other law enforcement agencies within the state to the County <br /> <br />of San Mateo; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo and the County of Los <br /> <br />Angeles are willing to extend the aforementioned services to the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City pursuant to the aforementioned agreement, by <br /> <br />means of an agreement between the County of San Mateo and the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to enter into an <br /> <br />agreement with the County of San Mateo for transportation of <br /> <br />Redwood City prisoners; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Agreement for Prisoner <br /> <br />Transportation Services", by and between the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />and the County of San Mateo, a copy of which agreement is on file <br /> <br />in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is <br /> <br />hereby <br /> <br />made <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />full <br /> <br />particulars <br /> <br />thereof, <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />10461 <br />
