RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF JOINT pm'lERS AGREEMENT WITH THE SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT, THEREBY REQUESTING THE SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT TO PURCHASE CERTAIN MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT, AND SUPPLIES ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY WHEREAS, Chapter 5 of Division 7 of Title 1, commencing with Section 6500, of the California Government Code, authorizes public agencies to entered into agreements for the joint exercise of powers which are common to the parties of such agreement; and WHEREAS, Section 2.80 of the Redwood City Code provides that the City of Redwood City may request local agencies to purchase materials, equipment, or supplies on behalf of the City; and WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council an agreement between the City of Redwood City and the Sequoia Union High School District whereby the District will purchase certain materials, equipment and supplies for the City of Redwood City, and it is the intent of this Council to approve said agreement and authorize its execution; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: That certain agreement entitled "Joint Powers Purchasing Agreement Between the Sequoia Union High School District and the Ci ty of Redwood City", a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved; and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. * * * 1051 7
