<br />DAS:nt 8/20/87 (#20) <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />10 61 0 <br />N o. <br /> <br />AUG 24 1987 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) <br />EXERCISE EQUIPMENT UNITS; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />PURCHASE DOCUMENTS THEREFOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the purchase <br /> <br />of two (2) exercise equipment units, (one of said exercise units <br /> <br />for use by the Redwood City General Services Department, and one <br /> <br />of said units for use by the Redwood City Fire Department); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, five (5) bids were <br /> <br />received; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Fitness Concept, Mountain View, California, is the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of <br /> <br />this Council to accept the bid of said company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Fitness Concept, Mountain View, California, <br /> <br />for the sale of two (2) exercise equipment units at a total bid <br /> <br />price of ($7,901.06), Seven Thousand Nine Hundred One and 06/100 <br /> <br />Dollars computed in accordance with said bidder's proposal dated <br /> <br />June 1, 1987, is hereby accepted; said bidder is hereby found and <br /> <br />declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said exercise <br /> <br />units; and all other bids are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute all documents on behalf of the City of Redwood City for <br /> <br />the purchase of said exercise units in accordance with the <br /> <br />abovementioned bid proposal, a copy of which proposal is <br /> <br />1 0 61 0 <br />
