<br />DAS:nt <br />D1 nt <br /> <br />9/9/87 (#17) <br />9/14/87R <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10621 <br /> <br />SEP 1 4 1987 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONFIRMING REPORT OF SUPERINTENDENT OF <br />STREETS ON WEED ABATEMENT; OVERRULING PROTESTS THERETO; <br />AND AUTHORIZING ASSESSMENT OF THE COST OF ABATEMENT <br />AGAINST THE PARTICULAR PARCELS CONCERNED FOR 1986-87 <br />(SPRAYING AND DISKING) ASSESSMENT ROLL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 10405, adopted January 19, 1987, <br /> <br />the City Council declared weeds, rubbish, dirt and rank growths <br /> <br />in the City of Redwood City to be a nuisance, and set February <br /> <br />23, 1987 as the date for all objections to the proposed abatement <br /> <br />of said public nuisance to be heard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, due notice therefor having been given as required <br /> <br />by Article IV, Chapter 14, of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City, and no objections having been presented to said proposed <br /> <br />abatement, the City Council acquired jurisdiction to perform the <br /> <br />work of abating said nuisance, and by Resolution 10424, adopted <br /> <br />February 23, 1987 ordered the Fire Marshall (acting as the <br /> <br />Superintendent of Streets) to abate said nuisance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Fire Marshall has submitted to this Council of <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City for confirmation an itemized report of <br /> <br />the cost of the abatement spraying and disking of weeds, dirt, <br /> <br />rubbish and rank growths from or abutting each separate parcel of <br /> <br />land from which weeds, dirt, rubbish and rank growths were <br /> <br />removed, and a list of the expenses proposed to be assessed <br /> <br />against said parcels for said spraying and disking abatement <br /> <br />(Exhihit "A" <br /> <br />attached hereto and incorporated herein by <br /> <br />reference); and <br /> <br />10621 <br />
