<br />1 ;:nt 9/23/87 (#20) <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />!! 2. 1 0 644 <br /> <br />OHIGINAl <br />SEP 2 8 1987 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR THE PURCHASE <br />(OTHER THAN READER TABLES AND CHAIRS) <br />LIBRARY; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />THEREFOR <br /> <br />OF FURNISHINGS <br />FOR NEW MAIN <br />OF AGREEMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager called for bids for the purchase <br /> <br />of furnishings (other than reader tables and chairs) for new Main <br /> <br />Library; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, four (4) bids were received <br /> <br />for the purchase of said furnishings; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Robert Morry, Inc., San Francisco, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award said bid to Robert Morry, Inc.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Robert Morry, Inc., in the sum of Three <br /> <br />Hundred Twenty-nine Thousand One Hundred Four and 57/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($329,104.57), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal <br /> <br />dated September 8, 1987, for the sale of furnishings (other than <br /> <br />reader tables and chairs) for new Main Library is hereby accepted <br /> <br />and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder for said furnishings. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute all documents on behalf of the City of Redwood City for <br /> <br />the purchase of said furnishings in accordance with the <br /> <br />abovementioned bid proposal, a copy of which proposal is <br /> <br />presently on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which <br /> <br />1 0 644 <br />
