<br />3:nt 9/25/87 (#20) <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />1 0647 <br /> <br />SEP 2 8 1987 <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR REPAIR OF SEVEN (7) <br />STORMWATER DRAIN PUMPS; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING <br />EXECUTION OF DOCUMENTS FOR THE PERFORMANCE THEREOF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.65 of the <br /> <br />Redwood City Code, the City Manager solicited written bids <br /> <br />wi thout public advertisement, based upon the estimated cost of <br /> <br />the work to be performed, for the repair of seven (7) stormwater <br /> <br />drain pumps in the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation three bids were <br /> <br />received in timely manner; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Johnston Pump Company of Benecia, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bid, and it is the intention and desire of <br /> <br />this Council to accept the bid of said company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Johnston Pump Company, Benecia, California, <br /> <br />for the repair of seven stormwater drainage pumps at a total cost <br /> <br />of Thirty-one Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-five and No/I00 <br /> <br />Dollars ($31,825.00), plus applicable taxes, is hereby accepted; <br /> <br />said bidder is found and declared to be the lowest responsible <br /> <br />bidder for the furnishing of the materials and work necessary to <br /> <br />accomplish said repairs; any and all informalities in the bid of <br /> <br />said bidder are hereby waived; and upon execution by said bidder <br /> <br />of the documents described in paragraph 2 hereof, all other bids <br /> <br />shall be, and are hereby, rejected. <br />
