<br />~WC:djk 10/5/87 (#21) <br /> <br />OCT 1 9 1987 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />NO.I0666 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING RECORD RETENTION SCHEDULE AND <br />AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO DESTROY CERTAIN PUBLIC <br />RECORDS IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 34090, the head <br /> <br />of a city department with approval of the City Council by <br /> <br />resolution, and upon written consent of the City Attorney, may <br /> <br />destroy any city record under such department head's charge, <br /> <br />after the same is no longer needed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk has presented to the City Attorney <br /> <br />and to this Council for approval a proposed schedule for <br /> <br />retention and destruction of certain categories of public <br /> <br />records, and has requested approval to destroy certain public <br /> <br />records in accordance with said schedule; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Attorney has given written consent to such <br /> <br />requested destruction; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain schedule of record retention entitled "Records <br /> <br />Retention Worksheet" (4 pages) a copy of which lS attached <br /> <br />hereto, <br /> <br />labeled "Exhibit <br /> <br />A" <br />, <br /> <br />and incorporated herein by refer- <br /> <br />ence, is hereby approved, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized <br /> <br />to destroy certain public records in accordance with such <br /> <br />schedule. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />10666 <br />
