<br />1. 3:nt 01/14/88 (#20) <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />JAN 1 8 1988 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF LIBRARY <br />SHELVING AND ACCESSORIES FOR NEW MAIN LIBRARY; AND <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N 2. 1 0711 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager called for bids for the purchase, <br /> <br />delivery and installation of library shelving and accessories for <br /> <br />the new main library; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, four (4) bids were received <br /> <br />for the purchase of said shelving and accessories; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Yamada Enterprises, Huntington Beach, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and <br /> <br />desire of this Council to award said bid to Yamada Enterprises; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Yamada Enterprises, in the sum of One <br /> <br />Hundred Fifty-nine Thousand Six Hundred Forty-five and 17/100 <br /> <br />Dollars ($159,645.17), computed in accordance with bidder's <br /> <br />proposal dated December 29, 1987, for the sale, delivery and <br /> <br />installation of library shelving and accessories for the new main <br /> <br />library is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and <br /> <br />declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said shelving <br /> <br />and accessories. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute all documents on behalf of the City of Redwood City for <br /> <br />the purchase, delivery and installation of said library shelving <br /> <br />and accessories in accordance with the abovementioned bid <br /> <br />proposal, a copy of which proposal is presently on file in the <br /> <br />10711 <br />
