<br />DES:~ik 03/09/88 <br /> <br />(#21) <br /> <br />consensus in order that this important matter may be voted upon <br /> <br />by the people; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />1. This Council does hereby commend the Countywide <br /> <br /> <br />Transportation Committee for its exemplary efforts in achieving a <br /> <br />consensus on a Countywide Expenditure Plan as a prerequisite for <br /> <br />placing the question of approval of a 1/2 cent transportation tax <br /> <br />on the June 1988 ballot to address transportation needs <br /> <br /> <br />throughout the County of San Mateo; and, further, this Council <br /> <br /> <br />does hereby commend Council Member Brenton C. Bri tschgi, the <br /> <br /> <br />representative of the City of Redwood City on said Committee, for <br /> <br />his extensive public-spirited efforts in assisting in achieving a <br /> <br />consensus on the Committee. <br /> <br /> <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />transmit a copy of this resolution to the Honorable President and <br /> <br /> <br />Members, Board of Supervisors, County of San Mateo, to the <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and Members, of each City Council of the Cities <br /> <br /> <br />within San Mateo County, and to the Chairperson and Members of <br /> <br />the Board of Directors, San Mateo County Transit District. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />2 <br />
