<br />4. Date; Time. The parade and festival shall be conducted <br />on Monday, July 4, 1988. The parade route shall be reserved from <br />8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., and the festival location shall be <br />reserved from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on that day. <br /> <br />5. Vendors. (a) Parade Route. No vendors of any kind <br />shall be permitted to vend on the City right-of-way along the <br />parade route during the date and time set forth in Paragraph 4. <br /> <br />(b) Festival Location. All vendors in the festival <br />location must remain in a fixed location, at a place within the <br />area shown on "Exhibit B", as Permittee shall determine. Vendors <br />taking part in the festival, pursuant to this Permit, shall not <br />be required to obtain Vending Permits or Soliciting Permits <br />otherwise required by Sections 20.212 and 28.3, respectively, of <br />the Redwood City Code; provided, however, all vendors shall pay <br />business license taxes to the City of Redwood City, if <br />applicable. <br /> <br />6. Insurance. Permittee shall furnish to the City public <br />liability and property damage insurance, including vehicle <br />liability insurance, naming the City of Redwood City, its <br />Council, boards, commissions, officers, employees and agents as <br />insureds, or additional insureds, insuring the same against all <br />claims for personal injury or death to any person or persons <br />resulting or arising from the conducting of the activities herein <br />described, or from any act or omission of Permittee in connection <br />therewith, in the amounts of $1,000,000 for each person and <br />$1,000,000 for each occurrence, and property damage or injury to <br />or destruction of property, including the loss of use thereof, in <br />the amount of $500,000. Evidence of the insurance required <br />hereunder, in form satisfactory to the City shall be furnished by <br />Permittee to the City at least ten (10) business days prior to <br />the commencement of said parade and festival. <br /> <br />7. Damage to Public Property. It is understood and agreed <br />that Permittee shall be responsible for and shall reimburse the <br />City for the costs of any damages to or suffered by City-owned <br />property arising out of the conducting of the parade and festival <br />herein permitted. <br /> <br />8. Hold Harmless. Permi ttee shall assume the defense of <br />and indemnify and save harmless the City of Redwood City, its <br />Council, officers, boards, commissions, employees and agents from <br />and against all suits, actions, damages or claims of any kind or <br />nature whatsoever resulting from or alleged to have resulted from <br />Permi ttee' s performance or failure to perform pursuant to this <br />Permit, or otherwise resulting from or alleged to result from the <br />parade or festival activities herein permitted. <br /> <br />9. Compliance With Laws. Permittee shall comply with all <br />appropriate rules, regulations, and laws applicable to any and <br />all activities which are part of, or associated with, said parade <br />and festival.
