<br />SWC'"Qjl 3/28/88 <br /> <br />(#22) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the nature of the CDBG Program, with its diversity <br /> <br />of program design and administration and its facility for being <br /> <br /> <br />last resort funding, has often caused the congress and the Nation <br /> <br />to overlook the critical value of the program and the significant <br /> <br /> <br />number of organizations and projects that rely on its funds for <br /> <br /> <br />support; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a week recognizing national community development <br /> <br /> <br />will encourage local governments, non-profit organizations, and <br /> <br /> <br />community residents throughout Redwood City to reaffirm the <br /> <br /> <br />significance and diversity of CDBG Program efforts toward meeting <br /> <br /> <br />the needs of persons of low and moderate income; <br /> <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br /> <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />This Council does hereby designate the week of April 2-8, <br /> <br />1988 as National Community Development Week in the City of <br /> <br /> <br />Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />2 <br />
