<br />DAS-bjl 3/16/88 (#22) <br /> <br />APR 4 1988 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10763 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH <br />THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO RELATING TO FUNDING FOR THE <br />REHABILITATION OF STREETS IN THE COUNTY (INCLUDING <br />STREETS LOCATED IN REDWOOD CITY) UTILIZED BY TRANSIT <br />VEHICLES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, certain streets within San Mateo County ("County") <br /> <br />are utilized by public transit vehicles, and many of said streets <br /> <br />(including streets located in Redwood City) are deteriorating and <br /> <br />require rehabilitation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the local jurisdictions responsible for the <br /> <br />maintenance of these streets lack sufficient funds for their <br /> <br />repair; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is modifying the Holly Street interchange <br /> <br />on State Highway Route 101 ("Project"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Project qualifies for Federal Aid Urban (FAU) <br /> <br />funds; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, FAU funds normally appropriated for other transit <br /> <br />purposes have been made available to the City by the San Mateo <br /> <br />County Transit District for the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said FAU funds may be utilized by the City on the <br /> <br />Project in lieu of City monies, and the City wishes to transfer <br /> <br />Ci ty monies to the County in an equivalent amount to the FAU <br /> <br />funds to be made available to the City for the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, County will distribute said City monies to local <br /> <br />jurisdictions (including the City) as specified in that document <br /> <br />entitled "Program for Rehabilitation of Streets Utilized by <br /> <br />Transit Vehicles - Phase II"; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />10763 <br />
