<br />DES:djk 04/15/88 (#21) <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />No.I0769 <br /> <br />APR 1 8 19ffi <br />COpy <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DECLARING <br />CANVASS OF RETURNS AND RESULT OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL <br />ELECTION HELD ON APRIL 12, 1988 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of Redwood City, by Resolution No. <br /> <br />10734, duly passed and adopted on March 14, 1988, designated the <br /> <br />precincts and polling places and appointed the members of the <br /> <br />precinct boards for the general election to be held in said City <br /> <br />of Redwood City on April 12, 1988, as required by law, for the <br /> <br />purpose of electing four (4) Council members for the full term of <br /> <br />four (4) years each; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said general municipal election was held on <br /> <br />Tuesday, April 12, 1988, in accordance with law, and the votes <br /> <br />thereat received and canvassed, <br /> <br />and the returns thereof <br /> <br />determined and declared in all respects as required by law; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The City Clerk of the City of Redwood City shall be, and <br /> <br />is hereby, instructed to enter this resolution on the minutes of <br /> <br />this Council as a statement of the result of said election. <br /> <br />2. The whole number of votes cast in said City at said <br /> <br />general municipal election was 5,714 votes. <br /> <br />3. The list of candidates nominated for the office of <br /> <br />Council member to be filled at said general municipal election <br /> <br />and the names of the candidates which were set forth in the <br /> <br />petitions assembled and filed with the City Clerk, as required by <br /> <br />law, and the number of votes cast in favor of each of the <br /> <br />candidates were as follows: <br /> <br />10769 <br />
