<br />DAS.bjl 4/13/88 (#22) <br /> <br />APR 1 9 1988 <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />No.10773 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM <br />FOR CITY FACILITIES; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />FOR SAID WORK; AUTHORIZING LEASE PURCHASE FINANCING FOR <br />SAID AGREEMENT, AS DEEMED APPROPRIATE; AND APPROVING A <br />CONTINGENCY FUND FOR UNFORESEEN CONDITIONS AND CHANGES <br />FOR SAID WORK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10692, adopted December <br /> <br />7, 1987, the City Clerk called for bids for telephone system <br /> <br />installation for City facilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call for bids, nine bids were <br /> <br />received for the performance of said work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, NEC America Inc., Melville, New York is the lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this <br /> <br />Council to award said bid to NEC America, Inc.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of NEC America, Inc., in the sum of Three <br /> <br />Hundred Twenty-nine Thousand One Hundred Seventy-three and NO/lOO <br /> <br />Dollars ($329,173.00), computed in accordance with bidder's <br /> <br />proposal <br /> <br />dated <br /> <br />February <br /> <br />1, <br /> <br />1988, <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />telephone <br /> <br />system <br /> <br />installation for City facilities, is hereby found and declared to <br /> <br />be the lowest bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br /> <br />certain agreement entitled "Agreement - Telecommunications System <br /> <br />for City Facilities", by and between the City of Redwood City and <br /> <br />NEC America, Inc., for the performance of said work in accordance <br /> <br />10773 <br />
