<br />EXHIBIT "A" <br />PAGE 3 of 4 <br /> <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />Senior Craft Specialist (Continued) <br />( Poo 1 s ) <br /> <br />Ab i1 i ty to: <br /> <br />'" <br /> <br />Operate a variety of equipment used in building construction, maintenance, <br />repair, and general grounds maintenance. <br /> <br />Understand and carry out both oral and written directions in an independent <br />manner. <br /> <br />Oversee and monitor the work of others. <br /> <br />Trace broken underground wiring with sophisticated electronic equipment. <br /> <br />Establish and maintain effective work relationships with those contacted in <br />the performance of required duties. <br /> <br />Read and interpret blue prints. <br /> <br />Perform a variety of mechanical and plumbing maintenance procedures. <br /> <br />Work independently and without supervision. <br /> <br />Maintain water quality in pools. <br /> <br />Identify and correct safety hazards in a pool area. <br />Physical Characteristics: <br /> <br />Must be able to perform heavy manual labor, assume bodily positions required <br />in pool maintenance work, work outside in varying climatic conditions, and <br />possess acceptable manual dexterity. <br /> <br />Experience and Education <br /> <br />Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the <br />required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the <br />knowledge and abilities would be: <br /> <br />Experience: <br /> <br />One year experience in the maintenance of pools and pool equipment and two <br />years of park maintenance experience. <br /> <br />Education: <br /> <br />Equivalent to the completion of twelfth grade. <br /> <br />License or Certificate <br /> <br />Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California <br />Driver's License. <br />
