<br />MJP : Jr- 'l 2 / 9 / 8 9 ( # 2 3 / 0 8 0 ) <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 1 U 98t{ <br /> <br />Oi\lGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO THE DESIGNATION OF PORTIONS OF FEB 1 3 1989 <br />SPRING STREET AND DOUGLAS AVENUE WITHIN THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AS A COUNTY HIGHWAY; AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO <br />RELATING TO FUNDING RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE <br />CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF ROAD RESURFACING ON <br />SPRING STREET AND DOUGLAS AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is authorized pursuant to <br /> <br />Sections 1800 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code to lay <br /> <br />out, acquire and construct any section or portion of any street <br /> <br />or highway within the territorial jurisdiction of the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo <br /> <br />intends, pursuant to Sections 1700 et seq. of the Streets and <br /> <br />Highways Code, to declare, (subject to the consent of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City), that portions of Spring Street and Douglas Avenue <br /> <br />situated within the territory of the City of Redwood City, (as <br /> <br />more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and <br /> <br />by this reference incorporated herein as if set out in full <br /> <br />herein), to be a county highway of the County of San Mateo for <br /> <br />the purposes of road resurfacing improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that those portions <br /> <br />of Spring Street and Douglas Avenue described in Exhibit "A", be <br /> <br />declared and established as a county highway of the County of San <br /> <br />Mateo for the purposes of road resurfacing improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo is willing to implement the <br /> <br />abovementioned improvements by entering into an agreement with <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City pursuant to which the City of Redwood <br /> <br />1 0 98LJ <br />
