<br />z..'j#,6rr B <br /> <br />MJP:mmQ 2/9/89 ('38/042) <br /> <br />A G R E E MEN T <br /> <br />Cr\')Y <br />IJi <br /> <br />AGREEMENT REGARDING THE RESURFACING OF PORTIONS OF <br />SPRING STREET AND DOUGLAS AVENUE, WITHIN THE CITY <br />LIMITS OF REDWOOD CITY, BY THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />1989, by and between the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, a <br /> <br />political subdivision of the State of California, hereinafter <br /> <br />called "County", and the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal <br /> <br />corporation of the state of California, hereinafter called <br /> <br />"City". <br /> <br />WIT N E SSE T H <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County is preparing to call for bids for the <br /> <br />resurfacing of Spring Street, Douglas Avenue and Marlborough <br /> <br />Avenue in the Redwood City area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a portion of this resurfacing project lies within <br /> <br />the corporate limits of the City of Redwood City consisting of <br /> <br />one-half width of Spring Street from Willow Street to Douglas <br /> <br />Avenue, approximately 1,525 feet, and one-half width of Douglas <br /> <br />Avenue from Middlefield Road to Spring Street, approximately <br /> <br />2,000 feet. <br /> <br />A map showing the area within the City to be <br /> <br />resurfaced ln accordance with this Agreement is attached as <br /> <br />Exhibit "A"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, five (5) City-owned water valve boxes on the <br /> <br />streets will require adjustment to the new grade of the <br /> <br />resurfaced streets; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The City Council of the City of Redwood City consents <br /> <br />to the establishment of said portions of Spring Street and <br /> <br />Douglas Avenue described above as County highways of the County <br />
