<br />CES:mmg O~/20/89 (#25/041) <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />-------- <br /> <br />ORIGI NAL <br />N O.~ JUL241989 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR MIDDLEFILED ROAD CULVERT <br />AND STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING <br />RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10703, adopted June 20, <br /> <br />1988, the City Clerk called for bids for construction of the <br /> <br />Middlefield Road Culvert and Street Reconstruction Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, three bids were received for <br /> <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, William P. Young, Inc., Foster City, California is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award said bid to William P. Young, Inc., <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of William P. Young, Inc., in the sum of Three <br /> <br />Hundred Eight Thousand Four Hundred Fifteen and No/ 100 Dollars <br /> <br />($308,415.00), for all of said construction work, computed in <br /> <br />accordance with bidder's proposal dated July 18, 1989, is hereby <br /> <br />found and declared to be the lowest bid for said work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br /> <br />certain agreement entitled "Agreement for Midd1efie1d Road <br /> <br />Culvert and Street Reconstruction Project" (form dated 07/20/89), <br /> <br />by and between the City of Redwood City and William P. Young, <br />
